Two more songs: Something's Happening Here, and Power to the People! It's high time the greed bags got some push-back!

Yeah! I was going to put a link up to "Power to the People" but figured one song per posting is probably enough. Here it is: https://youtu.be/HOsvWZ4p3_Q?si=a6Dee9V0PEv-qDBv POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!

'They see no real difference between them, nothing that really matters to the health and safety of ordinary people.'

Given the state the world is in, this can't happen fast enough.

It should have happened yesterday, but as long as we're getting more eyes opened to reality, we're going in the right direction.

Hi TRC

Thunderclap Newman’s anthem “Something in the Air” precedes “We Won’t Get Fooled Again” by a couple of years, and is more direct. I’ve posted the lyrics before, but for your readers who are unfamiliar with them, here goes.

Call out the instigator

Because there’s something in the air

We’ve got to get together sooner or later

Because the Revolution’s here

And you know it’s right

And you know that it’s right

We have got to get it together

We have got to get it together now

Lock up the streets and houses

Because there’s something in the air

We’ve got to get together sooner or later

Because the Revolution’s here

And you know it’s right

And you know that it’s right

We have got to get it together

We have got to get it together now

Bring out the guns and ammo

Because there’s something in the air

We’ve got to get together sooner or later

Because the Revolution’s here

And you know it’s right

And you know that it’s right

We have got to get it together

We have got to get it together now

There's a great video of the song here: https://youtu.be/RTZoJ01FpD8?si=ylB6aBZXDGlVUmDI

I remember it vaguely from my childhood, but it seems the video and the majority of the lyrics are more about the Flower Children than about actually bringing about violent revolution. Obviously, no one in 1969 felt like being the "instigator."

I see this economic blackout as a lesson for all those who have never acted defiantly before. We're helping those who are timid and scared of the ruling elites to not be afraid anymore. With more brave folks fighting the corrupt system together, the more power we'll exert on the billionaires. Power IS the people!

Yes, the people have the POWER, and it's time to be brave and use it! Even if you don't feel brave you need to do what counselors tell their clients: Fake it until you make it!

Such a great song, with a meaning very relevant to these times.

It is a catchy song, isn't it? It shows you that we've been planning revolution for over a half century now... It's time to actually DO something about the corrupt status quo!
