The USA you learned about in grade school is dead. Don’t feel too bad. Maybe it never really existed except in our imaginations.
Support for Israel used to be the overwhelmingly dominant opinion in the western world. Luckily that's changing, but the fact that this was the case until Israel exposed itself shows you really can't just go along with majority opinion on any issue. You need to think for yourself. The United States of Hypocrisy

I went through the same indoctrination program most American children are put through. We heard the same narrative over and over again in school and in the Boy and Girl Scouts, 4-H, Junior Achievement, church and civics organizations... I learned more or less what other people in my age group did.
I know the Pledge of Allegiance and at least the first verse of the Star-Spangled Banner. I learned what the Latin phrase e pluribus unum means on our coins. Ask me how many members are in the House of Representatives (435) and how many senators there are (100). I can even recite the Preamble to the Constitution fairly well.
I know the correct way to fold a flag when you take it down from a flag pole. I can name you all fifty states’ capitals (at least I used to be able to). But none of this nonsense means a damn thing in the year 2025, and I’m sorry I wasted so much time learning it.
Why? Because the United States of America is dead.
Maybe it was never alive, but it most definitely is dead and gone today—or at least the picture I had of it in my mind growing up and even into a good portion of my adulthood. What’s left of it is the true image of the current monster that masquerades as a “beacon of democracy.” With “liberty and justice for all” it prances about like a flashy red-white-and-blue Captain America action figure as it doles out bunker busting bombs to genocidal maniacs.
I call what remains of my birth country “The United States of Hypocrisy.”
Feel free to call it the United States of Hypocrisy (USH) if you feel the same way I do. Tell your friends and family members they can do so as well, unless that gets you into a world of hurt. Otherwise, keep it to yourself and blame me if that name ever slips out in polite conversation. I’ve grown use to taking the blame for pointing out the “bleeding obvious,” as my British spouse often says.
The USH has sent out so-called American mercenaries to work under a newly created, Israeli-backed/CIA/Mossad “charitable organization” called the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF). The hypocrisy, of course, is that the GHF is doing anything but acting in a humanitarian fashion. These so-called Americans are using food to lure starving Palestinians into a trap to tag and deport them far from their homeland. And these supposedly justice-loving Americans are content to stand by and let these poor starving souls be shot at and killed by Israeli snipers in the process.
According to DD Geopolitics:
GHF shares legal and administrative ties with Safe Reach Solutions, a firm led by a former CIA officer and chosen by Israeli officials.
The aid model was crafted in meetings that explicitly rejected UN coordination and envisioned contractor-led civilian management.
Food aid would be distributed in militarized “sterile zones,” forcing displacement from the north.
Under the plan:
Distribution points are limited to four military-secured zones in southern Gaza.
Palestinians must walk miles, sometimes across Israeli lines, to access aid.
Only pre-screened individuals are eligible, excluding the elderly, sick, or women with children.
The UN’s 400+ distribution sites are being replaced with a system that funnels people into areas chosen by the occupying force.
What’s unfolding in Gaza today is not a glitch in the aid system — it is the aid system, redesigned as an extension of occupation. When even its architect walks away, the rest of the world should take notice.
This is not humanitarian relief.
This is the codification of containment, one checkpoint, one ration packet, one biometric scan at a time. This is terrifying.
It is terrifying. A country can’t get any more disgusting and evil than this, except maybe by burning children alive in their tent cities or destroying life-saving medical equipment and hospitals so that Palestinians have no place to go when they’re sick and injured or…
I know, I know. Those atrocities have already happened and are still happening in Gaza.
The US of Hypocrisy has been funding and arming this nightmare for 20 months—longer if you consider how it has been a supporter of the apartheid state of Israel since its inception in 1948. The USH has been a happy co-conspirator in the elimination and dehumanization of the Palestinian people for over 77 years.
And for what purpose? Mostly so the USH and its billionaires with plenty of cash sunk into the oil markets can have a friendly place in the Middle East for its use as a jumping off point for its minions to get at all that lovely petroleum lying beneath the Arabian peninsula.
If you haven’t heard, the USH doesn’t back its currency with gold. It hasn’t since the Nixon administration. Its currency is the “petrodollar,” which means the USH must control all the reserves of oil worldwide or else its money isn’t worth shit. Any country that wishes to trade for oil using a different currency—like Libya or Iraq tried—will find out the hard way that you don’t mess around with the “peace and justice-loving” military and covert services of US hypocrites.
Now do you understand why the USA you learned about in grade school is dead? Don’t feel too bad. Maybe it never really existed except in our imaginations.
The USH doesn’t seem to worry much about its reputation. If it did, it would have stopped sending bombs and arms to Israel when the photos of newborn babies left to die in their incubators were circulating on the internet back in late 2023. It didn’t stop sending war planes and ammunition to Israel even after the first of the hospitals and schools and universities in Gaza were deliberately blown up by Israelis a few weeks later. To this day it gives aid and political cover to Israel even as the death count of innocent Palestinians continues to mount.
Not surprisingly, the USH has vetoed all United Nations’ actions to stop the genocide and has prevented the UN from bringing troops into Gaza to help save the people. It conspired with Israel to kick the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) out of Gaza. The USH has even tried to shut down the International Criminal Court through sanctions.
How much more “peace and justice-loving” can you get?
All the USH seems capable of doing is sending private mercenaries to pretend to give out food aid (very little and totally inadequate food by all accounts) and lying to cover up the genocide happening in Gaza.
Meanwhile, the citizens of the United States of Hypocrisy can’t receive free health care and guaranteed food and shelter when they’re hurting financially. It makes sense. Why should we expect our government to care about us? It’s okay with Israeli soldiers imprisoning and killing Palestinian doctors and nurses, and murdering and burying the bodies of paramedics along side their ambulances. It’s cooperating with an apartheid state to take the indigenous people’s land and their oil and natural gas. It’s not like the USH/USA doesn’t have a history of “removing” (that is, genociding) indigenous people and stealing their land and resources, right?
I’ve given up all hope that the USH can be saved or even if it should be saved. It hasn’t learned from its past and wishes to repeat the bad parts like genociding yet another group of indigenous people. Some things are broken beyond fixing and should be junked. That’s where we stand today.
What should we who are trapped here in the United States of Hypocrisy do to bury this decaying corpse of a nation in hopes of resurrecting a truly democratic and less bloodthirsty one? Stop moaning first off—that’s even more of a waste of time than learning the states’ capitals. The time has come for us to take action—and not just your run-of-the-mill types of protests and letter writing campaigns, either.
We the prisoners of the United States of Hypocrisy need to amp up our disgust and loathing at what we’ve become. We should put it on display in unmistakable ways so that the AIPAC-owned politicians can’t miss it. We should be yelling, “We’re mad as hell, and we’re not going to take it anymore!”
CodePink gives excellent examples of how to get our demands across to these thick-skulled, heartless hypocrites in DC. Watch CodePink’s Instagram channel for videos of how they follow politicians and others, asking them uncomfortable questions, demanding answers, and not letting the threat of being arrested slow them down. But there’s no need for all of us to go to DC—we can do likewise to our local and state politicians, and we can follow our federal representatives around their home towns, too.
Instead of one small group like CodePink shadowing these craven genocide-enablers, what if there were at least 50—one in each state—following elected officials and demanding answers and actions? We might notice things changing faster than ever before, hopefully for the better. Better yet, why not hundreds or thousands of small groups following as many hypocrites as we can? Why not make these bought-off billionaire-wannabes terrified of us, their constituents?
It’s about time they listened to us and worked for us! It’s time for them to stop pretending that they’re not working for zy0nists with big wads of cash. It’s time to put the fear of God into these sociopathic puppets of AIPAC and the ADL.
We should follow these hypocrites around the state houses, city halls, or town halls. Let’s get creative and follow them around in restaurants, stores, and other public places. Why not camp out on their front doorsteps? In front of their district offices? Why not call their personal phone numbers instead of those conveniently automated switchboards they tell you to call that takes your messages, which seemingly are never delivered?
After all, these AIPAC-owned hypocrites are financing and arming a genocide in our names. We are demanding an end to the killing and that restitution be made to the Palestinian people. We know we are in the right. They are in the wrong. Any public official who isn’t doing their job as we deem fit shouldn’t be allowed to eat, sleep, or crap until justice has been served.
The same goes for corporations and the genocidal billionaires who run them. If they’re creating weapons used to kill children (such as Elbit Systems) or denying health care in order to make a bigger profit (such as United HealthCare), we need to shut them down. Permanently.
College students are showing us the way:
Richard Solomon, an MIT doctoral student in political science and a member of the MIT coalition for Palestine, tells The Electronic Intifada Podcast that though the campaign against Israel’s technological relationship with MIT has been active for some time, the student and the community has accelerated their mobilization strategies.
“We don’t just send polite emails,” Solomon says.
“We show up to the office, we picket outside. We make the staff feel uncomfortable. We went to the MIT Museum, which is a public place tourists go, and we would have rallies there. We had waves of phone calls to the office. We went there several times. We know that Elbit itself has become a toxic asset globally.”
Solomon explains that though the university won’t admit it, the divestment was due to public pressure and growing revulsion at the genocide in Gaza.
“It’s the global awakening of public opposition to the genocide and to the aiding and abetting of that by the most prestigious and institutions in America – I think, that’s what’s doing it now,” he says.

I realize that these protest tactics might come across as pushy and possibly ill-mannered, but when has being quietly polite and following etiquette gotten anything important accomplished in the United States of Hypocrisy? (The answer you’re looking for is “never.”) It’s time for us to become extremely loud with our demands, extremely in-their-faces in our tactics, and extremely persistent until we see our demands met or else…
We start marching these sociopaths who won’t listen to us to the guillotines. If you have some scrap lumber handy, why not start building yours today? Let them know we’re serious, and we’re not going to take this anymore.
