'Keep protesting. Keep speaking out.'

Yeah, exactly. Such persistence is key towards positive change.

At the same time, we should take care of ourselves as well and ensure that our needs are met and that we don't burn out from our efforts.

Very good point. If we burn out, we're not going to be much help to anyone or any cause. Thanks for your comment.

You're welcome. I think most of us are in need of a pep rally right now.

It's tough some days putting up with the stubborn racist idiots who just don't get what's going on and who's really calling the shots. I'm not sure I can remain a pacifist under these situations much longer but I know deep down I must. See you on the front lines, comrade in justice. ✊

See you there--and don't worry. We'll watch over each other.

Singing: "Have you been to jail for justice? I want to shake your hand

Cause sitting in and lyin' down are ways to take a stand

Have you sung a song for freedom? or marched that picket line?

Have you been to jail for justice? Then you're a friend of mine"

That was a really enjoyable read. I tried to share it -- TWICE -- on Fedbook, and it got flagged as spam, I suspect because FB does not support Substack like it does YT, etc., meaning that when you click on a link, you stay on Fedbook. That apparently doesn't happen with Substack links, which is a pity.

Thank you for your kind words. And thank you for trying to share it on Facebook. Until this week, I had been able to share Substack links on FB, but as of this week they are censoring anything that might have the "Z word" in it apparently. I've been able to post the link in a comment on another post on FB, but who knows if their algorithm will catch those posts as well. If you want to try again sharing this post, you can share the Blogspot link at https://continuousrev.blogspot.com/2024/07/the-fight.html (and it will lead to this page). Thanks again!

It's a mystery. Someone on my timeline shared something from Substack today, and it opened no problem. Maybe it's the title of your piece that's the issue. You know how sensitive the censors are these days. *eyeroll*

It's the "z word" and anything that makes AIPAC and the Israeli government look less than sterling.

Hi RTC

Beautiful and inspiring piece.

We WILL have change…whether because of our words, or at the business end of an assault rifle.

We gotta do what we gotta do.

Thanks, Gyspy! Change is coming, but let's hope it's more a velvet revolution than the other kind. I want to see everyone make it to a better life.
