Revolutionaries Don’t Ask Permission

Revolutionaries Don’t Ask Permission

The kids in Minneapolis get it. They stood outside the hotel where ICE agents were staying and made noise all night long. Loud noise. Deafening music and consistent shouting. All. Night. Long. No sleep for the killers and kidnappers of ICE allowed.

The kids didn’t ask for permission. They didn’t care about violating a noise ordinance or getting arrested. They just wanted ICE gone. For good. For the family of Renee Good. For the good of the community.

This is what Revolution is all about. It’s about doing good for the sake of the community—not the billionaire oligarchs ruling this fascist state.

Revolution is not about doing nothing and taking the shit dumped on us. It’s about shoveling that shit right back into the faces of those who wish to bury us. We bury them instead until the threat is no more.

I think the constant following and videoing of ICE agents in Minneapolis will wear the bastards down in time. They will leave town and avoid the upper Midwest from now until their ultimate demise at our hands. So keep it up, kids! You do us proud.

More Americans need to demonstrate the same bravery, the same courageous bloody-mindedness of the Minneapolis protesters. (Here’s another example of their bravery.) Instead, most Americans sit around and complain about the fascist regime running the show. They’ll politely ask, upon being hit over the head with ICE’s metaphorical snow shovel, “Thank you, sir. May I have another?”

Americans are their own worse enemies. The current orange-faced dictator plays upon this commonplace fear of Americans not wanting to make those in power angry with them lest they find their Amazon Prime subscription canceled or their Netflix turned off. “We can’t live without our Amazon and Netflix!” these Yankee Doodle Wimps whine.

Oh, boo hoo hoo hoo!

The time has long since passed for Americans to stand up and make some noise. A lot of noise. No more sniveling and wringing our hands. No more lame excuses. We’re up against fascists. (Read last week’s blog for more on the US situation.) Fascists don’t play by the rules. They don’t give a shit about the law or legal precedents. So why should we?

Why should we care about laws that protect the rich and powerful at the expense of the poor and vulnerable? Evil, manipulative laws are to be ignored and the evil people who use them to manipulate us are to be despised. We need to let them know in no uncertain terms how we really feel about them.

Taking a page from the brave Minnesotans, we all need to start following, videoing, taunting, and generally making a ruckus around our office holders and their agents such as ICE. Flooding politicos’ email boxes and answering machines are fine activities, but the personal touch is best. Check out the tactics of the peace activists of CodePink on their Instagram viral videos. They’ve made an art out of walking beside belligerent politicians in the Capitol while asking tough questions.

No answers? CodePink activists will start following these bought-off hypocrites into posh DC restaurants loudly demanding answers. Now, that’s bravery! Rude? Impolite? Nah, CodePinkers are behaving as oppressed people should—they’re getting their demands across and not taking “No comment” as an answer. They really know how to let folks in power know what’s on their minds.

A noisy midnight protest in front of fascist politician’s house in order to shut down enabling the genocide in Gaza, for instance, would drive the point home of just how much their actions in office are despised. What about the neighbors? Of course, invite them to join along with your protest. The more voices the merrier! You might be pleasantly surprised at how many others deep down want to be a part of the solution, not the problem.

So, what are we trying to accomplish with our noisy demos, stalking our worthless politicians, videotaping the vicious agents of ICE, boycotts, strikes, teach-ins, and other unconventional activities? Revolution, of course. We want to remove the people and institutions that are causing us all tremendous grief. We want to reveal the terrorism of the fascist regime in power to world. ICE thugs terrorizing our fellow countrymen must go. Politicians providing cover for the fascists-in-charge must go. The political factions of the duopoly that have become assassins of decent independent/third party candidates’ reputations must go.

If we truly want a more just country and a better world, all those who responsible for the current injustices—those responsible for funding ICE and Israel’s genocide of the Palestinian people, those responsible for the kidnapping of President Maduro, those responsible for attempting color revolutions in Iran and Venezuela, those responsible for eliminating social and educational programs, those responsible for not passing a universal health care system (when they had the chance), those responsible for not shutting down the polluting fossil fuel industry and encouraging clean alternative sources of energy—all of these terrorists must be held accountable and punished for their crimes against humanity.

Since politician-criminals are seldom tried and jailed for the pain and suffering they’ve caused, We the People must act as their judges, jury, and executioners of their sentences. This doesn’t mean we automatically resort to violence and the use of weapons against our oppressors. Because until the vast majority of the US armed forces—which includes all military branches, municipal and state policing agencies, National Guard troops, FBI, CIA, NSA and other federal agents—are firmly on the side of the common people and not acting as spies or moles for the fascists, our Revolution doesn’t stand a chance.

Our methods of resistance must be civil disobedience oriented. They must be highly organized, intense, and non-stop, never deliberately provoking those with the big guns since they know how to use their weapons against us well, courtesy of their IDF training. We don’t want their firepower directed at us, so we can’t copy their murderous tactics. Simply put, we can’t shoot first.

Any use of arms on our parts could be used to denigrate our cause and its leaders. The fascists love to label revolutionaries “agitators” and “terrorists” and will promote this slander worldwide. While we know we’re acting justly, not all ordinary people will intuitively understand our actions. They’re under the influence of the propaganda machine of the Ministry of Truth after all. We can’t risk bad publicity, and we certainly can’t risk losing lives—any lives—if we wish to be seen as heroes to the masses.

There will always be those like ICE agent Jonathon Ross who shot Renee Good in cold blood. We as resisters must work to minimize such violent encounters if we wish to live to see the Revolution blossom. We need our video cameras, audio recorders, and legal observers/eyewitnesses with us at all times to collect ample evidence of ICE and others’ wrongdoings.

We must collect the necessary proof to hold the trigger-man accountable, since no other fascist agency will investigate the crime. We must train our fellow protesters in safe de-escalation techniques and how to protect themselves in any and all situations where fascists are looking for an excuse to murder with impunity.

As we fight back, the fascist state will lock us up and deny us our human rights, but we cannot let these outrages prevent us from holding them accountable for their myriad of crimes. We need to promote our cause loudly to the public and make the fascists’ lives hell since they seem intent on turning our beautiful planet into a living hell. We must pour on the heat until they give in and give us what we want just to rid themselves of the stress of dealing with us.

The Palestine Action activists provide an excellent example. They attacked the weapons of war—by vandalizing the killer drones of Elbit Systems—and not the people running the war machine. After the activists were arrested and imprisoned, their hunger strike tactics generated adverse publicity for the British government and it’s pro-Israeli war machine. In the end, they won. Elbit Systems is leaving the UK.

So, we “kill” the fascist regime by taking out one fascist or fascist organization/corporation at a time. The Palestine Action activists’ experience demonstrates that this won’t be easy. We should expect to lose martyrs to the cause, but remember: There are many, many more of us than them. We will come out ahead in time.

Fascists do a multitude of evil things both at home and abroad in order to fill their overflowing pocketbooks. It’s in everyone’s interests if we relieve them of those ill-gotten gains and strip them of their power of the purse-strings. We could try hacking into their personal bank accounts and freezing access to them like they have done to outspoken activists Francesca Albanese and Scott Ritter. Whatever it takes to stop the flow of trillions of dollars into the fascist genocide-war machine.

Another more conventional way is by denying their hench-persons access to those funds. We need to prevent the fascists’ chosen politicians from taking office and cashing in their AIPAC, Big Oil, Big Pharma, and MIC campaign donation checks, but we need to act quickly. We the People need to set-up and run winning campaigns. Ordinary Americans must be a taught to vote only for those strong and moral independent voices we can trust to put the people’s interests above their own.

If and when there is a mid-term election, Americans of all political stripes need to pledge to vote against duopoly candidates—and that means all of them running for local, state, and federal offices. We must replace these fascist-enabling stooges with our own people. Then we can then overturn the orange-faced dictator’s executive orders, stop the war machine, replace corrupt justices, restore the social and educational programs that have been cruelly cut and institute universal health care.

And that’s just the beginning. American revolutionaries must reach out across the planet to help clean up the messes the oligarchs have made of our shared biosphere, land, air, and water resources. With the end of the US empire, the end of endless wars and genocides for resources, life for us and our children and grandchildren could at least become a paradise. Goodbye to that fascist-driven living hell!

It won’t be easy fighting a Revolution against the immoral morons we’re currently facing in the US, but nothing worthwhile is ever easy. Take heart in the knowledge that We the People are acting in the right, and the fascists are acting in the wrong. And always remember that revolutionaries need never ask permission or apologize for our actions because we have the people’s best interests in mind.
