My daughters absolutely adored these picture books when they were little. The mouse or the moose keeps asking for more and more things until the human characters’ whole world becomes one big chaotic mess. They’re funny, cautionary tales, but mostly they’re just plain good ol’ toddler/early reader entertainment.

Somehow these children’s stories instantly sprang to mind upon watching excerpts of Donald Trump being sworn in as president this past week. While the children’s stories are adorable and silly, there’s nothing particularly adorable about Trump and company and their chaos. Their silly parts are equally annoying, too.

I find the best way to handle a Trump presidency is to ignore the man. I did it from January 2017 to January 2021. I just didn’t watch or listen to Trump on TV or online, and I still don’t. I will read about his actions or watch others discuss whatever insane thing he said that day, but I won’t listen to his voice or look at his face if I can avoid it. In that way, I keep my already high blood pressure from going any higher.

This method works well for me. I stay informed, but at a distance that is comfortable for my sanity. If you haven’t tried this ignoring technique of dealing with Trump, I highly recommend it. If you find that you really do miss listening to the dunderhead after a few days, then you can always switch him back on and watch and listen to him live to your heart’s content.

I don’t tend to write much about Trump, either. Sure, he’s bound to pop up now and then like a silly mouse or moose asking for baked goods in whatever I write for the next few years, but he is seldom the “main character” of any story I’ll tell.

Why is that you ask? It’s because I sincerely believe Trump isn’t the main character or protagonist of anything. I’m sure Donnie’s streak of narcissism would never allow him to admit that he occupies such a lowly position, but he’s only the servant of our real masters. He’s not worth spending much time or energy writing about, in my humble opinion. Whatever he says (or doesn’t or shouldn’t) is so much a smoke screen to keep us at each others’ throats so our real masters can go about whatever evil they plan on doing.

Our real masters? You saw them standing behind Trump at the inauguration ceremony. Our real masters are the ones who make all the decisions and pull all the strings of their politician-puppets such as Trump and Vance and the entirety of Congress. Some may call our masters “oligarchs” or “plutarchs”, but it’s much easier to call them “the billionaires” since it’s a term that’s easy to understand for your average reader. (Note: Even if Trump calls himself a “billionaire” he doesn’t have the power of these tech billionaires. He’s their puppet, not the other way ’round. His job is to keep the masses off the billionaires’ backs.)

Most of you know all about these billionaires and their very large and famous corporations, so I won’t repeat their names here in case doing so brings down an ancient curse or something worse—like outright censorship of this blog. But one billionaire in particular really made a moose-like spectacle of himself by giving a Nazi salute to the crowd and then telling everyone that it was something else. Please, Mr. Musk-Ox! We weren’t all born yesterday!

After almost 16 months of a heinous livestreamed genocide against the Palestinian people, after over two years of the US funding the swastika tattoo-covered members of the Azov Battalion of Ukraine, most intelligent people know a Nazi salute when they see a person giving one to the crowd—not once but twice. To put it bluntly: The video don’t lie!

Subsequent “excuse making” for Musk-Rat’s public behavior by a variety of people has only made him seem more of a white supremacist. Several folks have tried to push the controversy aside by saying that since Musk-Gland has Asperger's Syndrome it explains everything. It does? These Musky-Odor apologists are, to paraphrase the great comedian Flip Wilson, saying: “His autism made him do it!”

This insinuation that Asperger’s causes racist thinking has insulted many on the “spectrum”. Many online have explained that autism does NOT cause a person to give random Nazi salutes. Autism can make it harder for a person to inhibit certain behaviors, such as preventing himself from giving a Nazi salute in public, but the idea of wanting to give a Nazi salute in public in the first place is still there. He just forgot where he was in the moment. Oops.

It’s all Musk-Deer’s responsibility for expressing his opinion. It’s not the first time he has expressed a pro-white supremacist viewpoint. Musk-Ox currently supports the AfD, a Nazi-oriented political party in Germany, a party so fascistic that it actually makes far right-wing Marine Le Pen of France feel downright nervous. The UK’s Nigel Farage boasted that Musk-Rat is “right behind” him — and raised the prospect of the tech tycoon opening up his checkbook to help right-winger Farage’s insurgent Reform UK party.

That recycled President Trump would want anyone expressing such a viewpoint near him on stage at his inauguration ceremony gives testimony to the power of the billionaires. The truth of the matter is that they just don’t care. They don’t care if we know where their neo-Nazi leanings lie. They don’t care if we don’t want to be used like livestock and allowed to suffer and die from lack of healthcare and an inadequate food supply. They simply don’t care about those of us located on the bottom of the economic pyramid at all.

When a tiny number of billionaires have more wealth that remaining 99% of us, why the heck should they even care if we live or die? We’re ants under their big feet. They can Nazi salute at us all they want if it gives them a chuckle. We’re nothing to them.

Help to commit an ethnic cleansing? Sure, why not? Jared tells us that Gaza will make a great location for posh resorts and villas for rich zy-0-nists. They’ve already auctioned off the natural gas and oil rights offshore. They gotta “clean out that whole thing” ‘cause it’s “a real mess” and “literally a demolition site” already.

So, if you’re foolish enough to give a billionaire like Musk-Rat some power, he’s going to want more than a glass of milk or some jam with it. He’s going to take the whole shebang. Trump’s attempt to make Musky-Odor his de facto vice president (sorry about that Mr. Vance) just adds an air of legitimacy to the billionaires’ reign.

A lot of people are confused by how someone so seemingly stupid as Elon Musk could become the richest person in the world, so they come up with all sorts of theories about how he must be secretly smart.

Allow me to explain: the world is stupid too.

Musk-Go-To-Mars will bankrupt the entire country to have his little bit of fun in space. He’ll tell Donnie there’s no need to “waste” money on programs like Social Security or Medicare or agencies like FEMA. But why? Think about it: How do any of these programs make a billionaire’s life any better? (Answer: They don’t. They’re for the poor. So let’s ax them in favor of more tax breaks for the rich.)

This “DOGE” idea of Musk-Deer’s is just a convenient way for him to raid the entire pantry of baked goods without even asking Congress for permission. (DOGE? Does Musky-Stink think he’s the ruler of Venice? Or maybe he wants to rule the “canals” of Mars instead?) Congress-creatures are happy about the billionaires running things for them. It lets them off the hook if any bad publicity comes about from the billionaires’ actions. They can pretend they had nothing to do with it.

What with the number of Taxpayers Against Genocide lawsuits being filed, Congress-critters will plead complete and utter ignorance of what’s going on—just you wait and see. They’ll point a finger at one or more billionaire and repeat Flip Wilson’s famous line: “The devil made me do it!”

So, the moral of this story is: Never take seriously anything a politician-puppet says. Always go to the source of the true power, the real masters of our fate, the billionaires, and see what it is that they’re after. Whatever war/genocide/program/sanction/policy change they want will be what is financed, enacted or axed.

And don’t get taken in by those who think a Nazi salute is simply a “love wave.” There’s no love lost between the extremes of the economic classes. Those at the top have no empathy toward us who are struggling at the bottom.
