All I can guess is this earworm is the universe’s way of telling me that all is not lost, even if it looks like it is. From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!
The two most powerful forces on earth are water and love. Both are unstoppable and can completely change the landscape. That's how the Grand Canyon was created and we can clearly see the impact of water constantly flowing over a seemingly intractable landscape. Acts of love aren't as quantifiable but happen everywhere all the time in ways big and small. Both forces have enormous power for change.
Over the last two years there's been a huge outpouring of love from all around the world on behalf of the people of Gaza. I feel we are reaching a breakthrough point. Every Thursday (at least) we must withdraw our money and labor worldwide. The weakness of the current system is greed and that's our weapon. They need us to participate and if we give it some thought we can create ways to deny them what they want most - our money - our labor.
I have given up, cancelled and continue to boycott Amazon, Starbucks and Air BnB. They support the Gaza genocide and are on the divest list. I did it one at a time as I discovered their treachery but you can start here and now.
There are others that weren't part of my habit - Coke, McDonalds, Burger King, Dominos Pizza, Pizza Hut, Papa John's, Disney, Expedia, Remax, AXA, , TKH Security, Barclays, CAT, Elbeit Systems, Teva, SodaStream, HP, Intel, Puma, Siemens, Volvo, JCB, HD Hyundai, Chevron and Texaco. Still others are more difficult like Meta(Facebook/Instagram) and Google (Yahoo/Gmail), so I use their platforms to fight back. The money I saved I donated to orgs doing the same. My labor I spend at the Green Party.
Want to stop the horror? Divest from the horrible. Don't rationalize, make excuses or feel guilty. Go right now to your bank statement and look at the past month, then cancel all accounts I've listed here and make a note to never buy anything from the others. Doing nothing makes certain it will continue to escalate until it's at our very doorstep. We can't afford to wait. It's easier than you think and will make you feel great! This is our collective power and it flows from love.
Ear worm warning - This was Just What I Needed - The Cars C.A. Mathews would love to have you on the Green Livestream sometime.
I don't use any of those--even Google (I use Duck duck go) or Facebook (I just quit). This isn't stopping the genocide. I guess I don't see stopping the genocide as something that happens by itself, with the rest of Business As Usual continuing on. I see it as happening as part of a massive, massive sea change, the most profound change in human existence since we descended from the trees. The genocide is connected to the killing of Mother Earth, if we can stop one we can stop the other--by changing EVERYTHING. Going back to the values of our indigenous ancestors, the hunter-gatherers--while retaining agriculture, necessary for the very high current human population (but we can convert to sustainable agricultural methods).
"The two most powerful forces on earth are water and love. Both are unstoppable and can completely change the landscape. "
That's a beautiful way of saying that essentially "We are our own heroes." (One of my all-time favorite Jill Stein quotes.)
"We can't afford to wait" and we can't afford to say, "I can't do much to save the world, so I should just give up!" Together we can do miracles, and we can bring about an end to this genocide and so many other evils happening in the world. But we've got to do it together and with love or else we'll end back where we started. Let's go forward in love, shall we?
(I'd love to be on the Green Livestream. Just let me know the details and date.)
I'm going to help with your funding as soon as I've responded.
To answer your question: from what I can understand from my readings: energy
is "eternal" (it doesn't go away) and our energy is consciousness and consciousness is love. The physicists could only, possibly, take issue with the very last equation...but they couldn't disprove it.
Excerpt from a séance Victor Hugo held to try to contact his daughter who had died:
Thanks for your help, Em! What a lovely conversation Victor had with his daughter... If we believe that love is the light that strengthens us all, then we have all the power in the world when we act out of love. Keep following the light of love and free Palestine!
One last thing...I went to sign up to support you and found I was already a 220/yr person.! But I will continue steadfastly. Oh, and I just read that Sally Rooney (Irish author) is giving her royalties to Palestine Action (which Brit gov has declared a terrorist organization!!) So...I ordered her latest book right away. Don't even know if I'll like it, but it doesn't matter. Free Palestine!
Thanks for your support, Em. I'm curious as to Sally's latest book too, so definitely we should read her books and recommend them to others... Even those readers who think Palestine Action is a "terrorist group." Let them support what they've been brainwashed to believe is a "terrorist group"!!
Love really does make the world go round. I guess that's why there are so many songs written about it! But seriously, if we act out of position of hate or negativity, we will reap what we sow. It's why we must pull down the entire hate-filled system of capitalism and its endless wars. Only through love can we hope to build a better world and even have a tomorrow. We must love one another or else we'll all kill each other in short order.
You are so right but I find it hard to stomach the normalization of racism and discrimination. And it’s not just that. It’s that half of this country is illiterate and this same half have kept these prejudices inside of themselves for so long because it became a source of embarrassment for these people. Now it’s normal for people to feel free to spew their hateful, vile, and disgusting venom towards people they think are less than them. We have gone back to Jim Crow because the Republicans have always been a reactionary force in American politics.
Love means trying to help others overcome their prejudices. It won't be easy, but it's a worthwhile mission to take on. Until you can love yourself, you won't love others. The bigots and Zionists actually hate themselves deep down, you could say, which is why they end up spouting hateful things and committing genocide. Self-hate turned outward. We have to stop them.
Capitalism is one of the greatest source of evil/negativity in this world and needs to be destroyed before it destroys us all. "Love makes the world go 'round" and keeps us all safe from harming each other. May love grow and be watered by our actions!
This is WAY off. First of all, we don't choose between love and hate--both are parts of life, parts of the makeup of human minds and life. A determination to embrace a vague love and exclude hate typically leads to a gnawing hostility--denial is not effective.
More important is the confusion in the use of word "we." WE send weapons to Israel, WE endorse colonization, WE arrest people who speak in defense of Gazans. Who's this we, white man? It sure ain't me and I don't think it's you, and isn't "we" you + me? Over 90% of Democrat voters oppose this--but "our representatives" keep supporting it, because what we have in the US is not democracy. The people are NEVER consulted about the wars--or much else. You could blame us, I suppose, for not protesting in large enough numbers, not organizing a massive general strike--we COULD stop it, and a great deal else, if we were united in action, but this is easy for the ruling class to prevent, since they own both the legacy "mainstream" media and the electronic monopolies that are the new gatekeepers.
Any effort to organize needs to start with clarity.
Want to stop abusing alcohol, or smoking, or overeating? A firm resolve to ditch the bottle (or cigarettes, or calories) will most likely result in your hand reaching for that crutch even faster. Better to take a close and clear-eyed look at WHY you have that urge, so you can work it out at the causative level. And here, it isn't OUR hand that's supplying Israel with lethal weapons, so a resolve to quit and love Palestinians more will have no effect. Stopping the governmental/corporate hand that's actually doing it is a massive undertaking, but one we need to do anyway because that hand is also strangling Mother Earth to death, and preparing a totalitarian, dystopian nightmare as their answer to the resource constraints popping up on the horizon.
"A resolve to quit and love Palestinians more will have no effect."
Won't it? If we don't first say, "We have resolved to stop this genocide by halting all funding/support to Israel," then nothing will be accomplished to save the Palestinians. Love is an action or a series of actions, not just an emotion. Love is something that pushes against the evil/negativity of the world and forces it into a positive direction. Love changes/affects reality either by its presence or its absence.
Sometimes when we over-analyze a situation we miss seeing the sheer beauty of what's at stake. Without a motivation such as love, we won't take that first step toward wellness or wholeness. The First Step is the hardest in any Twelve Step program. We are powerless unless we give ourselves over to a Higher Power, and that power can be love itself.
Agree on some points and disagree on others. I posted some clarity for the you + me = we aspect. "We" have become complacent and "we" can begin to change that right now. Thinking it's impossible is quitting before you even start. Concrete actions are required by all of us. "We" have power and need to start using it for good.
“We hang the petty thieves and appoint the great ones to public office.” — Aesop
Capitalists only want the "winners" at the top.
I think of them as the sell-out wieners.

Thank you and couldn't agree more! I’ll email/ message you about coming on the show.
Absolutely splendid! And utterly backed up by quantum physics! I am so happy to read your words.
Thank you, Em, for your kind words. Quantum physics backs up love? Do tell!

"Are you happy?"
"Yes"
"Where are you?"
"Light"
"What can we do to be with you?"
"Love"
Em in France, hope this wasn't too long.

I agree. The three greatest evils that must be DESTROYED in this country are Patriarchy, Capitalism, and Religion!
