You are right about the politicians. A pol who isn't a cold blooded sociopath doesn't- USUALLY- get far. There are a few exceptions-Jimmy Carter and the late US senator Paul Wellstone. (Wellstone was killed in plane crash. Maybe an accident, maybe not. Plane crashes were a popular CIA method of killing people they didn't like) Don't know what we can do about it though. The Dim-ocrats and the Rethuglicans agree on ONE thing- no third parties will be allowed to intrude on their extremely lucrative doupoly.

She’s not going to lead. If elected Kamala’s job - like King Charles III - will be to look pretty, sign official documents, and make the odd, appropriately stirring speech, apparently “heartfelt” and “authentic” to graduating kindergarten classes and at the opening of State Fairs where she will serve as Grand Marshal. Not much more will be expected of her. Every month a sheaf of military spending bills will be presented to her for signing: her dual citizenship Israeli staff all have copies of a rubber stamp of her signature in case she’s stepped away from her desk for a moment to use the ladies, or maybe have lunch with her husband, who will have a bunch of spending bills for her to sign as well…

Anyone who thinks that either the Republicans or Democrats will do anything that is right is at this point is not in their right mind!

They are all sell outs and they will only do what their buyers will command them.

My loathing of this degenerate gangster nation is such that the thought of participating in its ridiculous rituals appeals me. But I may just show up and vote for these two. I am a two issue voter, and number one is peace. Thanks for this post.

You're welcome. Yeah, I know how you feel about the "ridiculous ritual," but I figure we gotta hit the baby-killing gangsters where it hurts by making them look bad at the ballot box. A Stein-Ware vote tells the duopoly that you're on to their game and you aren't going to play by their rules anymore. You want people, planet and peace not endless bloodshed.

Yes, the term fits those ba$tards like a glove. I guess the Zionazis felt we'd burn out pretty quickly from the sheer horror of what's happening in Palestine. They guessed wrong. We're still angry and it'll show in the US elections come November.

I hope it does show up in a very real and tangible way. The duopoly factions of War and Wall Street need to be shut down permanently. Our anger isn't going away simply because it's inconvenient for rich stockholders of the MIC.

Your diction -- your choice of words -- damages this piece considerably. In the USA, "baby-killers" is used in reference to those who undergo abortions, provide information about the procedure, and/or perform the abortion itself (even in cases of rape). By inference, this headline is clearly and unequivocally telling people to vote for Trump, whose "justices" have made abortion all but impossible in many parts of the country.

Of course, you apply the designation "for the likes of Biden, Harris, Trump, Netanyahu and similar mass murderers." However, I suspect a good number of people won't even get that far into your text. Quite bluntly, if I hadn't read some of your other articles on Gaza, I would not have opened it and would immediately have dropped you (from follow and/or subscribe) myself.

I urge you to be more careful with your choice of words.

And I urge you to think of the thousands of babies Americans and Isrealis have killed amongst other children and women and kindly shut the fuck up if just choice of words are tripping up your nonexistent conscience

Now that you have let off some steam, perhaps someone many years older can attempt to guide some sense into you. You and I are on the same side; we share outrage at the war crimes and atrocities in Gaza. My point is that this message MUST be spread, and that any language that deflects people away from the issue should be repaired.

The method by which facts are conveyed is often more important than the message itself -- particularly when people jump to erroneous conclusions without reading further. If you are unable to understand that and must resort to such vituperative outbursts, you will not help end the genocide. I suspect that everyone reading The Revolution Continues' article agrees with the sentiments vis-a-vis Netanyahu and his enablers. The problem is that we must persuade others, and I remain convinced that this headline does a disservice to that cause.

I am most saddened to read that! Unfortunately, within every movement -- and I believe he is just as horrified about the genocide as you, The Revolution Continues, and I -- there are some regrettable elements. Let us hope he figures out that such outbursts are not acceptable, learns to behave properly, and channels his energy toward the real issue, which right now is ending the conflicts (plural) in that region. [We must not forget the Zionist violence in the West Bank, Iran, and Lebanon.]

It’s Infuriating to see someone arguing about definitions, that’s EXACTLY what the elites want! “Genocide? Who can inform the Father of Asser and Ayssel his babies killers enablers are not technically baby killers in America?

Thank you for a CIVIL response. How unlike the other...

The problem here is that The Revolution Continues wrote an excellent article with which we all agree. That nice, but what about the people -- including (alas) certain progressives -- whose "knee-jerk" response will/would be not to open (let alone read) the article because of the immediate associations that are so painfully relevant in the USA?

Just over 15 years ago, a doctor who performed abortions was shot to death in his church (where he was serving as an usher) in front of his wife and children. Right-wing fanatics in the USA called him "Tiller the Killer" and "baby-killer." I have few doubts that his friends and relatives would delete the email without reading it, and their response would not be unique. https://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/05/31/kansas.doctor.killed/

I read today's article, but only because I know where The Revolution Continues stands on various positions. My point is that we must try to reach a broader audience, and the title certainly does not help us achieve that objective.

All that said, I am grateful to you and TRC for attempting a civil exchange of ideas. I shall not lower myself to respond to the other individual.

You are just being pedantic and having to throw around your age in order to seek out a nonexistent leverage on me is just a laughable attempt

If I have teammates like you, who needs enemies..

Harsh words are needed to penetrate the thick skulls of the foolish ones who are still asleep and supporting the empire and so I support this headline a 💯, America and Israel are fucking murdering babies and kids in their thousands and you're here complaining about words. Do you not see how fucked up your reasoning or more particularly, your lack of reasoning is?

Hey, let's not get to riled up here. I think Lenny means well. It just didn't occur to me that certain subset of Americans could misinterpret what I meant by "baby-killers". But I explained it thoroughly in the piece, so I'm not going to sweat it any. (I have other more important things on my plate this week to deal with.) But I will do anything to grab the attention of the public to wake them the f*** up that there's still a genocide happening and the youngest and most vulnerable are at risk. That's what we should all concentrate on--how to stop the genocide--not trying to correct each others' choice of words.

Expand full comment

No issues, it's settled for me but Americans should grow a tough skin as if 10 months of live streamed genocide hasn't woken such a substantial amount of them up then we need to resort to Shock Therapy of the Harshest words imaginable so they would be haunted by those words until it pricks their long buried consciences

It's called a blog because it's an opinion of current events. If you've read the recent headlines then you'd know that "Baby-killers" fits people like Harris or Trump because it's what they're currently doing or will do in the future--supply arms to slaughter more children. Since I've protested in the US for women's right to choose for several decades, I don't see any connection with what most call a pregnancy termination. (There's no "baby" involved in this procedure.) Perhaps this is coming from a male perspective of a certain culture, but being a woman of advanced years it doesn't come across that way to me. I say read the piece--make up your own mind as to what "baby-killer" means to you personally. To me, it will be the so-called sociopaths (or psychopaths) who are bombing Gaza and other parts of the planet right now without regard to human life (or the environment in general). If the title gets more people to read the piece, great. A little controversy can make Americans think harder about who and what they support with their votes.

Let us hope so, though whether Americans (collectively) can think at all, let alone "harder," is an issue open to conjecture. That said, keep up the good work, and we'll agree to disagree about the headline.

I know I won't lose any sleep if we do have a Nuremberg trial at the ICC for these baby-killers and hang the lot of them. It's a good synonym because these monsters don't appreciate human life even the youngest and most vulnerable. How can we trust a politician who sells arms to the izrealhellis knowing that they're killing children and newborns. We can't. We should never vote for them or their uniparty ever again.
