• A bloat of hippos.

• A tower of giraffes.

• A skulk of foxes.

• A confusion of wildebeests.

• A conspiracy of lemurs.

• A destruction of (feral) wild cats.

A Congress of criminals. War criminals, that is.

You might think I made up these collective groups’ terms, but I didn’t. Well, maybe that last one I did. The closest I could come to a name for a grouping of criminals was “a cowardice of curs.” It definitely needs updating.

I dare you to tell me who has acted more criminal than the members of the Congress of the United States of America recently. They invited Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, a leader with an arrest warrant for genocide on his head, to come and speak before them. They actually wanted to listen to a war criminal gloat about the mass murders of Palestinians by the IOF and how they plan to use the land they’ve stolen once they’ve removed all the rubble and dead bodies from it.

Why is Congress such a bunch of bloodthirsty ghouls? Why did they find Netanyahu, this terrible excuse of a human being, an acceptable guest? Did they take a good long look in a collective mirror and see themselves?

Well, it takes one to know one. Like attracts like. [Insert your favorite aphorism here to compare the criminal and cooperative actions of Biden and Congress to Netanyahu’s genocidal government.]

In case you’ve been following mainstream media and haven’t heard, Benjamin Netanyahu has been charged with the following crimes by the International Criminal Court (ICC):

• Starvation of civilians as a method of warfare as a war crime contrary to article 8(2)(b)(xxv) of the Statute;

• Willfully causing great suffering, or serious injury to body or health contrary to article 8(2)(a)(iii), or cruel treatment as a war crime contrary to article 8(2)(c)(i);

• Willful killing contrary to article 8(2)(a)(i), or Murder as a war crime contrary to article 8(2)(c)(i);

• Intentionally directing attacks against a civilian population as a war crime contrary to articles 8(2)(b)(i), or 8(2)(e)(i);

• Extermination and/or murder contrary to articles 7(1)(b) and 7(1)(a), including in the context of deaths caused by starvation, as a crime against humanity;

• Persecution as a crime against humanity contrary to article 7(1)(h);

• Other inhumane acts as crimes against humanity contrary to article 7(1)(k).

That’s it. He sounds like a real nice guy, doesn’t he?

After Congress gave “Bibi” 58 standing ovations, you might come to the same realization that I have: Congress isn’t really all that worried about being exposed as war criminals. They actually seem to enjoy it. They’re letting their “freak flag fly freely,” as it were, by inviting a genocidaire to address their (*cough, cough*) distinguished body.

In the past, most American politicians were known for shaking hands, smiling, and promising their constituents the moon while doing absolutely nothing of consequence. They did their best not to get caught with their hands in the public purse, mostly. After a good long career of shaking hands, smiling, and robbing the tax payers blind, they’d retire and enjoy the great benefits they voted in for themselves while simultaneously serving as lobbyists or board members of the very same corporations who funded their expensive campaigns for office.

Politicians of even thirty years ago would have never blurted out, “I’m spending your tax dollars to fund the genocide of innocents, and I don’t give a flying f*** what you think! AIPAC is paying me handsomely for my services to Israel. I work for them, not you. Screw you, America!”

We the People might have read between the lines and gathered this is, in fact, the truth, but our Congress members would have never been so crass to openly admit to it. They would have never invited their real boss—Netanyahu—to town to gloat about how well the genocide in Gaza is going: 186,000+ dead people and counting... Say what you like, but American politicians had a bit more class back in the day.

But nowadays? Their actions speak louder than their words. By their fruits, you shall know them. [Insert your favorite aphorism here to emphasize that the US is a fascist oligarchy and our electeds are merely well-paid puppets to give the appearance of an actual government of the people, by the people and for the people.] (I’ve discussed this at length before here and here and here.)

I’m using adages and clichés, because I can’t be bothered to use real, decent, honest-to-God words and phrases to describe these horrible gobshites, as my British husband calls them. Americans might use the term clowns to describe Congress, but I don’t find them all that funny. I find them all utterly detestable.

For crying out loud, Congress actually invited an indicted war criminal into their hallowed halls and gave him 58 standing ovations for ethnically cleansing from 186,000 upward to 600,000 indigenous Palestinians. I can’t laugh at this display of heartlessness and immorality. Even if the American public sincerely desired the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent souls (which the polls indicate they most decidedly do not), why should our “elected representatives” stoop to such a low level as to celebrate the success of this genocide with its chief instigator, Bibi Satanyahoo?

Somebody pinch me and wake me up from this nightmare, please!

There was one small light in the midst of the darkness in the House chamber. Rep. Rashida Tlaib, once censured for the crime of being Palestinian American, sat holding up a sign stating simply, “Guilty of Genocide”. That took a lot of guts. And, for her being on the side of the majority of the American public and her Arab American constituents in SE Michigan, she most likely will be forced out of her seat come the next election. Her political party, the “Anti-democratic Party” will punish her for not obeying orders from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).

Too bad. Honesty and integrity are their own rewards, or so it seems.

It’s time We the People turn the tables on these crooks in DC and lock them up like Netanyahu should be locked up by the ICC for war crimes.

First thing, we need to deprive these criminals of the money they’re receiving from those who wish to make them puppets of the zionarcissists both in the US and in Israel. AIPAC needs to be shut down for good. Only one candidate running for the White House has stated that AIPAC should be labeled a foreign entity and outlawed from lobbying American politicians on any matter, let alone in supporting a genocide. That candidate is Dr. Jill Stein of the Green Party.

To turn the tables of these greedy bastards, we need to make it clear that we’re shutting down their gravy train forever. We’re serious about Congress not being owned-and-operated by zionarcissists and the military-industrial complex billionaires who want endless bloodshed for endless profits. So, we should all make a vow not to vote for the AIPAC/MIC owned candidates of the duopoly. These criminals don’t need to be rewarded with votes or support of any kind, financial, political, or social.

Vote for only grassroots candidates who you are certain have never taken and pledge they will never take PAC/Super PAC funds of any kind. Track AIPAC can help you determine if the incumbent in your district is on the Israelis’ payroll. It even has a list of those candidates who are anti-AIPAC. But don’t be deceived—some incumbents who don’t take AIPAC money still voted to send arms to Israel. Check their voting records closely and note how much money they’ve taken from military corporations’ lobbying groups altogether. They’re probably profiting one way or the other off the deaths of innocents.

Write in your own name if you have to so you’re not tempted to vote for any of the war criminals (or wannabe criminals) in Congress. Voting for a unabashedly pro-Palestine candidate will send an even stronger message, however. Tell your friends and family to do likewise. Promote your vow to never support any members of the Congress of war criminals online to encourage others.

When it comes to the presidential line on your ballot, do likewise. Do your homework. Don’t vote for anyone who has taken AIPAC (or related lobbyists such as J Street) money. Don’t support anyone who has given political or moral support to Netanyahu or Genocide Joe Biden. And yes, that means Biden’s chosen heir Kamala Harris is a no vote as well. She has been supportive of sending billions of dollars worth of 2,000 pound bombs to drop on Gaza. Just look at how much AIPAC money she’s already been given, over $5 million:

Biden leaves office a disgraced war criminal but let’s make no illusions about where Kamala stands on Israel:

• Co-sponsored resolution against Obama in support of illegal settlements

• After calling for “immediate ceasefire” in March, clarified she meant Biden’s temporary pause

• Biden officials say: “There’s no dispute on policy” between Biden and Harris on Gaza

Let’s do our best to put the fear of God into these immoral war criminals. Because they really should be afraid of We the People and not the other way around. Voting is only one tiny step—we should be making their lives a living hell for making other innocent persons’ lives a living hell these past ten months. More of us need to spend more time in the streets—and in front of these genocide-enablers’ homes, favorite restaurants, and other public speaking venues—shouting our disgust at them and their war criminal actions.

Some of my favorite examples of how we should voice our anger and displeasure at these war criminals’ action come from the brave folks of CodePink. Watch videos of their demonstrations and learn. Get creative. Make an encampment in front of your representative’ home and blast pro-Palestine/anti-genocide chants at them and their neighbors 24/7 like righteous activists did for six months in front of Secretary of State Blinken’s house. That’ll larn’em!

We need many more of these resignation petitions for all of the Congress criminals that gave Bibi 58 sickening standing ovations. We need more lawsuits and impeachments to get these genocide-enablers kicked out of office for their war criminal activities. That includes Biden and Harris, too. We need to do anything and everything it takes to wipe the slate clean so that the United States of Israel—America?—can once again be known as a decent and moral nation.

Congress needs to realize that We the People are not forgiving and forgetting what they’ve done to the Palestinian people. We’re not going to let them do the same to anyone else or to us, either. Not in our names. Never again.
