Ah yes corruption. "War knows no boundaries." -your sentence that says it all. Here's a good one, a little look in at how the scumbags in the MIC insert themselves into the nerve fibers of the enterprise. For around 25 years, from '93 to 2017, Lockheed managed Sandia National Labs, one of the three nuclear (NNSA) labs. Their VPs were slimy beings.

There is no difference between the MIC corporations and the Department of War/Pentagon, is there? The revolving door between government and the capitalists spins so fast they ought to harness it as a wind turbine to generate electricity!

Boom boom. you win the awareness prize. Sandia was supposedly being run by the Sandia Corp. for the Dept of Energy -- DOE not DOD, a good cover. Of course, it's all the same defense establishment, but your average American has no clue. And Sandia Corp. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lockheed Martin Corp.

The US of Lockheed Martin Corp. Doesn't trip off the tongue as easily, but it would be infinitely closer to the truth.

"If we can find the money to kill people, we can find the money to help people." ~ British Socialist Tony Benn, MP, whose wisdom is sadly missed.

It's so simple--and it's what needs to be done if we want to save our planet.

We're going to make the entire world inhabitable if we keep bombing refineries, sinking oil tankers and burning cities ... The carbon released by wars is only adding to our everyday pollution dumps into the skies, soil and waters. The US war machine must be shut down for the good of humanity. There's no other sane option.

Uninhabitable I meant to type.

Thanks so much for making these important points.

It's hard to imagine how much better life would be without war: good relationships with other countries, caring societies, a healthy environment, sound infrastructure and social safety nets, and higher standards of living come to mind.

If our countries were actual democracies, this is how things would be.

Peace and genuine democracy... It is hard to imagine--none of us have ever known a world without at least one violent conflict occurring somewhere, if not in our own country. But we have to keep working toward that dream of peace and democracy. The options if we don't keep working toward peace aren't looking good.

I agree. The alternative is unthinkable, and probably unliveable.
